ITINERARY OF: 8 DAYS TOUR FROM TANGER, FES, DESERT, MARRRAKECH AND CASABLANCA

  • DAY 1: TANGER – CHEFCHAOUEN – FEZ:

    On the first day of the tour, the Odyssey Morocco travel driver will pick you up from the airport or hotel in Tangier and drive you to Chefchouaen. Once we arrive at the blue pearl; you start your explorative journey of the city. Take a stroll around the blue-painted streets, which run up and down the steep sides, you will find a photographic opportunity at every corner. You will visit the Plaza Uta El-Hammam square in the heart of Medina. A peaceful place lined with restaurants and cafes. There you will find the work of artists can be seen in newly established galleries. Also, you will have a chance to visit the Grand Mosque, the Ras Elma River that runs through the old city, and the Ethnographic Museum which contains musical instruments, and photographs of the old town and other traditional things. Afterward, we drive to Fes passing by Ouazzan, as we will have stops on the way to enjoy the panoramic view before dropping you at your accommodation in Fes.

  • DAY 2: FULL DAY TO EXPLORE FES WITH A LOCAL GUIDE.

    Today will be dedicated to exploring the spiritual city of Morocco with a local guide. After having breakfast, you will meet your local guide and start to sightsee the old medina from the outside. Admiring a beautiful panoramic view of the medina from the tombs of Merenids. Then continue by discovering the surrounding parts, covering the most important sites inside the city, Admiring the city’s pretty fountains, the mosaic Nejjarine Fountain, Tour the Medersas (Koranic schools), dating back to the 13th century. visiting The Royal Palace Gate, the Jewish Quarter” Mellah” dates back to 14th Century, blue ceramics of the Bab Boujloud gateway and historic mosques, including the Quaraouiyine Mosque, founded by Fatima el Fihri in 859, and the Andalusian Mosque, dating back to 860. Afterward you will wander inside the narrow streets lined with intricately woven Berber carpets, and many other arts and craft objects of Morocco, visit the ceramics Cooperative to see traditional Moroccan crafts, the big Chouara Tanneries, Medersa Seffarin where metal and other decorated architectural masterpieces are made traditionally. Overnight in your Riad.

  • DAY 3: FES- IFRANE - AZROU- MIDELT - MERZOUGA DESERT

    Our driver will pick you up from your accommodation in Fes. Then, we’ll travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be in Ifrane “Moroccan Switzerland” to see the Atlas Lion Statue, which was crafted by a German prisoner in exchange for his freedom from the French. After that, we will stop to see the monkeys in Azrou’s Cedar Tree Forest. we'll cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and arrive in Midelt, the world's apple capital, where we have lunch. Then we'll drive to the Sahara Desert and the Tizi N'talghoumte pass (1907m). In the late afternoon we will arrive in the amazing land of sand dunes of Merzouga where you will ride your camel and cross the high Erg-Chebbi dunes. You will enjoy a magnificent sunset on top of a high dune. Back to your hotel, relax and watch the sunset before having dinner at the desert hotel.

  • Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Valley & Gorges – Dades Valley.

    Today you will have to wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. After breakfast and a shower, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga. You will meet our driver and head to Rissani. We will have walk in the largest market (Souk). You will be fascinated by locally made goods and art crafts. Afterward, we travel to Tinghir. Along the way, we can see the ancient irrigation system. In Tinjdad town you will have a stop for lunch. Then, continue to explore the amazing views of Todra Valley and Todra Gorge (1,000 feet deep) with its orange towering cliffs. it is a popular climbing destination. We'll finish the day in the green valley of Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

  • Day 5: Boumalne – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Atlas Studio – kasbah of Ait Benhaddou-Marrakech.

    After breakfast in your Hotel, we will travel to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah via the Land of Roses and the Road of Thousand Kasbahs. And after that, we will travel to Ouarzazate, known as "the Hollywood of Africa," where we will capture the Kasbah of Taourirte and visit a world-renowned film studio (Atlas studios).  N next stop will be in the ancient Kasbah of Ait-Benhaddou. This fortified walled city, built directly on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara, was a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in films such as Gladiator and Lawrencrence of Arabia. After we visit the Kasbah, we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to Marrakech via the High Atlas Passes. We will stop along the way to take in the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and the Tizi N'tichka pass (2260m). To arrive in Marrakech in the evening, we will drop you off at your hotel.

  • DAY 6: FULL DAY TO EXPLORE MARRAKECH WITH LOCAL GUIDE:

    Our agency will take you in a sightseeing journey in Marrakech. You will be accompanied with a local guide with whom you will explore the fascinating cultural and historic sites. Such as Saadian tombs, The Bahia Palace, the Ben Youssef Koranic school. visit the Koutoubia tower and the famous Majorelle gardens. Lunch will in one of the local restaurants near the Jamaa Lefna squar. Later, you will wander the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Where you will find traditional clothes, Berber carpets, and much more. You will have free time to play your haggling craft in the old souk of the medina in the evening before going back to your Riad for the overnight.

  • DAY 7: MARRAKECH – CASABLANCA – RABAT

    After having breakfast at your riad in Marrakech, we continue our journey. We will drive to Casablanca, the capital city of Morocco. You will pay a visit to Hassan II Mosque, the biggest Mosque in Africa, the United Nations Palace, and the Coastal Seaside “Corniche”, before we go to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. In Rabat, you will visit Hassan Mosque and Tower, which were built in the 12th century and left incomplete when the Caliph died. There you will have a chance to visit the Mausoleum of the two last previous kings of Morocco, Mohammed V (who died in 1961), and his son Hassan II (who died in 1999), you will be fascinated with intricate Moroccan carving and Zelig tilework. Then, walk the Oudaias Kasbah. The overnight in your hotel.

  • DAY 8- RABAT – ASSILAH – TANGER

    On the last day of the tour, we will depart to Asilah. All the drive will be spent along the shore, providing ample chance to explore the city. Asilah is one of the most captivating, beautiful, and enchanting cities in northern Morocco. It is a place of quiet, tranquility, and inner harmony. Perambulate amid its serene streets and painted walls. Asilah is well-known for the annual International Cultural Festival of Asilah, which celebrates the traditional way of life of the town's inhabitants and the art of painting to the extent that it has been transformed into an open-air museum of art showing many elements of our existence. Then, we will continue to Tangier. Here you will have a tour around the city or the Ville Nouvelle, visit Cap Spartel, where the Mediterranean and Atlantic Oceans merge. Drive along the Atlantic Coastline, where you may choose to add a camel ride on the sandy beach, and then continue the road to the mysterious Prehistoric Hercules Caves. And finally, drop you off at your hotel or airport.
