6 Days Desert Tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Arrive to Casablanca Airport – Transfer to your Hotel:

Day 2: Casablanca – Rabat – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes: 

Begin your Casablanca to Marrakech 6 Days Desert Tour with a visit to the Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest mosques in the world and a masterpiece of Moroccan architecture. Completed in 1993, this mosque boasts the world’s second-tallest minaret at 210 meters and extends over the Atlantic Ocean. After visiting the Mosque we will head to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. 

In Rabat, explore the Hassan Tower, an unfinished 12th-century minaret, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, home to the tombs of Moroccan kings. Visit the Kasbah of the Udayas, a historic fortress with stunning ocean views.

Later, drive to Meknes, a historic imperial city founded in the 17th century by Sultan Moulay Ismail. Visit Bab Mansour, one of Morocco’s most beautiful gates, and explore the Royal Stables and Heri es-Souani, massive granaries and water reservoirs that once supplied the city. Then to Volubilis, a well-preserved Roman city and UNESCO World Heritage Site, featuring ancient mosaics, arches, and basilicas from the 3rd century BC.In the afternoon, drive to Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and enjoy a relaxing evening in the historic medina.

Day 3: Half Day To Explore Fes with Local Guide – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt: 

After a hearty breakfast at your Fes hotel or riad, we’ll go on a tour of this enigmatic metropolis with a knowledgeable local guide. Our guide will take you on a scenic trip to the top of Fes el-Balia UNESCO World Heritage Site- (the oldest Fes) to get a bird’s-eye view of the ancient city and learn about its history. Enjoy the royal palace’s gilded gates as a backdrop for great photos before relaxing in the Mellah (former Jewish Quarter). You will see vibrant Souks, old Koranic Schools including the famous Qurawayyin University, museums, and much more.

Afterward, we will make our way to Midelt through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Our first stop will be in Ifrane “Moroccan Switzerland” to see the Atlas Lion Statue, which was crafted by a German prisoner in exchange for his freedom from the French. After that, we will stop to see the monkeys in Azrou’s Cedar Tree Forest. we’ll cross the Middle Atlas Mountains and arrive in Midelt, the world’s apple capital for the Overnight.

Day 4: Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert – Cemel Trekking – Overnight in Desert Camp: 

After breakfast at your hotel/Riad in Midelt, we’ll drive over the high-Atlas Mountains to the Merzouga desert. We will cross TIZI N’talghoumte pass (1907m) and stop at Ziz Valley, with its palm trees, is a great place to take photos before heading to the desert. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in the amazing land of sand dunes of Merzouga where you will start the Camel Trekking Adventure and enjoy the sunset view from the middle of the dunes. Dinner in a romantic atmosphere at our luxury desert camp will be followed by a musical performance by local guides on drums.

Day 5: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Valley & Gorges – Dades Valley.

Today you will have to wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise. After breakfast and a shower, you will ride your camel back to Merzouga. You will meet our driver and head to Rissani. We will have walk in the largest market (Souk). You will be fascinated by locally made goods and art crafts. Afterward, the 6 Days Tour from  Casablanca to Marrakech continues to Tinghir.

Along the way, we can see the ancient irrigation system. In Tinjdad town you will have a stop for lunch. We’ll finish the day in the green valley of Boumalne Dades. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel or riad.

Day 6: Boumalne – Rose Valley – Ouarzazate – Atlas Studio – kasbah of Ait Benhaddou-Marrakech

After breakfast in your Hotel, we will travel to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah via the Land of Roses and the Road of Thousand Kasbahs. And after that, we will travel to Ouarzazate, known as “the Hollywood of Africa,” where we will capture the Kasbah of Taourirte and visit a world-renowned film studio (Atlas studios). Next stop will be in the ancient Kasbah of Ait-Benhaddou. This fortified walled city, built directly on the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara, was a thriving trading post during the 17th century. Ait Benhaddou has appeared in films such as Gladiator and Lawrencrence of Arabia.

After we visit the Kasbah, we will take a break for lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will continue our journey to Marrakech via the High Atlas Passes. We will stop along the way to take in the breathtaking views of the Atlas Mountains and  the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260m).
