AIT BEN HADDOU KASBAH

The full-day trip from Marrakech to Ait-Ben Haddou starts when our driver picks you up from your Riad in the morning. We will drive through the Tizi N Tichka mountain pass. The highest mountain pass in the North African region (2260 meters above sea level). Along the way, we will have stops way to enjoy the scenery and take pictures from the highest point, also Stretch your legs or get something to drink. When we arrive at Ait-ben Haddou kasbah we will park the car and take a leisurely stroll through its labyrinth of narrow streets and admire the wonderfully built towers and walls made of sandstone. these structures were previously used to protect the caravan route that ran from the Sahara to Marrakech. Visit the riverbank of the Mellah (the historic Jewish quarters), where there are some gorgeous palm groves and trees blooming along the riverbank, climb all the way to the peak for breathtaking views of the surrounding Palmerian and hammada (stony desert). Afterward, we continue our way to Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara Desert. Once you are there, you will firstly visit the kasbah of Taourirt, which is the largest Kasbah in all of Morocco and was the residence of Morocco's monarch, Pacha Glaoui. And secondly, the famous natural studio of Morocco where the cinematographic art museum exists, this museum has everything that has to do with making movies, like VFX equipment, cameras, tools, chambers, and more. After a full day of visiting the historical site of Ait-Ben Haddou kasbah, Taourirt kasbah, and Ouarzazate in an amusing and adventurous atmosphere, with a lot of memories and experiences that will stick with you for the rest of your life, we will drive back to Marrakech through the high Atlas Mountains and drop you off at your accommodation.
